A side project with a point of view

Women’s Privacy Project

I started the Women’s Privacy Project as an independent publication dedicated to making data privacy understandable, accessible, and implementable for everyone—regardless of tech-savviness. I believe in privacy as a human right, and those whose rights are being challenged need straightforward tools to protect themselves.

Privacy news that doesn’t require a law degree.

I created this project to translate complex privacy news into actionable “how-tos” and platform audits. It’s a space where I investigate the intersection of data surveillance and digital safety, ensuring that advocacy groups and individuals have the knowledge they need to navigate the web privately.

It’s also a little snarky because I’ve got beef with big tech. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you care about who’s watching, what they’re collecting, and what you can actually do about it—this is the newsletter for you.

What you’ll find

  • Platform privacy audits
  • Plain-language breakdowns of data news
  • How-tos for protecting yourself online
  • Coverage of surveillance, tracking, and data rights
  • A healthy amount of big tech skepticism

Who it’s for

Women and anyone else whose privacy rights are under particular threat—advocates, organizers, healthcare workers, journalists, and people who just want to understand what’s being done with their data and what they can do about it.

Why it matters for your organization.

The Women’s Privacy Project isn’t separate from my client work—it’s what keeps it grounded. Staying close to the evolving landscape of data surveillance means I bring current, practical knowledge into every design decision I make for the organizations I work with.

When I design an intake form or recommend a tool, I know what’s actually at stake. That’s not something you get from a designer who isn’t living in this space.
