Work with Diatyposis

I help mission-driven organizations build digital tools that are safe, clear, and as principled as the work they do.

Whether you need a website from scratch, a smarter intake process, help figuring out what data you should and shouldn’t be collecting, or just someone to finally get your digital systems under control—that’s what I’m here for.

Your website doesn’t reflect who you are or what you do.

Maybe it’s outdated, confusing to navigate, or just doesn’t feel like your organization anymore. I design and build websites that are clear, accessible, and honest about what you offer—so the people who need you can find what they’re looking for without friction. Every project starts with understanding what your organization actually needs: how your team works, what you need to manage day-to-day, and what you might need to grow into. Sometimes that means starting fresh; sometimes it means making what you already have work better.

The organizations I work with longest often start here—and as your mission evolves, your site evolves with it.

Website design & development

Your site works for some people but not others.

If your intake forms are overwhelming, your resource library is hard to search, or your site breaks on older phones—those aren’t just usability problems, they’re equity problems. I audit your existing site against WCAG 2.2 standards for accessibility and evaluate it for broader usability barriers, identify where people are getting stuck, and redesign around those barriers. Most audits take two to four weeks and come with a prioritized remediation plan your team can act on immediately, whether or not we continue working together.

Accessibility audits & remediation

You’re not sure what data you’re collecting or why.

Many organizations collect more information than they need without realizing it—and that creates real risk for the communities they serve. I review your digital tools with a focus on data minimization, surveillance risk, and trauma-informed design: what you’re collecting, how it’s stored, what your forms are implicitly communicating, and where your community might be exposed. You’ll come away with a clear picture of your risk and concrete steps to reduce it.

Privacy UX & data minimization

Your site and systems have gotten harder to manage than they should be.

Maybe your intake process lives in three different places and no one’s sure which one is current. Maybe you’ve got a website, a shared drive, and a member database that have never really been introduced to each other. Maybe your team avoids updating the site because it’s become too complicated to touch without breaking something. I help organizations step back, figure out what they actually need, and map a realistic path forward—before spending money on a redesign that solves the wrong problem.

Content strategy & systems clarity

Your team has new tools but no one really knows how to use them.

New software is only useful if people actually use it. I’m also a professor, and I love teaching. I offer hands-on workshops built around your organization’s existing setup—getting comfortable with your CMS, learning to read your analytics, understanding accessibility and privacy basics, or training a new team member who missed the original launch. Sessions are typically a half-day or full day, and I’ll build the curriculum around what your team needs, not a generic walkthrough.

Training & Workshops

You need ongoing design support without a full-time hire.

Not every organization needs a designer every day, but most need one more than once a year. I offer retainer arrangements for organizations that want a consistent design partner they can call on—for updates, new pages, graphics, brand materials, training check-ins, or whatever comes up—without the overhead of a full-time hire.

This is the kind of engagement I find most rewarding. The longer we work together, the more I understand your organization—which means faster turnarounds, better strategic input, and a partner who already knows your work when the next idea is ready to build.

Ongoing design partnership

How engagements work.

Who I work with.

I work with human rights and community organizations—reproductive health providers, domestic violence shelters, LGBTQ+ support organizations, legal aid clinics, community resource hubs, and similar mission-driven groups. My practice is explicitly feminist and pro-LGBTQ+, and I’m selective about the partnerships I take on.

I don’t work with Big Tech companies or organizations whose values conflict with the communities I serve.
